You want to make some changes in your life ‑ in your feelings,
behaviors, or relationships. Therapy is a safe place where you can
learn valuable tools and skills to make these changes. You can also
talk through and resolve your feelings about issues from your past
in counseling. As a psychologist I will listen to what you would like to work on in therapy, to be sure that I hear what your concerns are. I will work together with you as your therapist to help you achieve your therapy goals. You can be in control of the shape of your counseling with a flexible degree of guidance from me. I would like to help you feel comfortable and in control of your own life. I am an accepting, objective therapist you can trust to help you see and achieve your personal goals. You already have strength, health and abilities, and I would like to help you recognize and use them more fully through our work together. |
| I work with individual adults, couples and families in counseling tailored to the needs of each client. Some are seeking help with specific issues. With you I will work as your counselor quickly and effectively to develop tools and strategies to improve your ability to cope with the problems you encounter in your daily lives. Other individuals bring issues that require deeper exploration. With you as your psychologist I will explore the issues in the context of past experiences, including within your family of origin. With couples I integrate several practical approaches as a counselor to help build a more solid foundation, better communication skills, and increased enjoyment of each other in your marriage or any relationship. Trusting a therapist you can feel safe and comfortable with is important for successful psychotherapy. I would be happy to consult with you to help determine if I am the best fit for you as your counselor. |
